Helping Clients Navigate the Complex World of Tolling and Traffic Management

Who is Kapsch
Kapsch TrafficCom develops SaaS solutions, particularly in the domains of tolling and traffic management. Their offerings include cloud-hosted services such as Tolling as a Service (TaaS) and various traffic management platforms like EcoTrafiX™ and the Mobility Data Platform (MDP). These SaaS solutions enable transportation authorities and service providers to manage operations more efficiently, reduce infrastructure costs, and enhance scalability and flexibility. Kapsch’s clients are primarily governments, cities, and transport authorities, along with infrastructure operators that manage roads, tolling, and urban mobility systems.
Role and Responsibility
I translated concepts into user flows, wireframes, mockups, and prototypes that created intuitive experiences, while shaping the product vision through research, ideation, and prototyping. I designed and delivered wireframes, journeys, and mockups optimized across devices, identified design challenges and developed elegant solutions, and made strategic UX decisions for both core and new features. Working in an Agile environment, I took a user-centered approach and ensured designs adhered to accessibility standards.
Projects
I have worked on multiple Kapsch applications, from designing brand new user experiences to updating and porting existing designs to bring them up-to date to Kapsch’s newest design system. I collaborated with product owners, developers, QAs and various other subject matter experts to develop and improve Kapsch applications. Due to nondisclosure-agreements I am limited in how much I can discuss here, but I would love to chat more in person.
